Soldiers coming home compilation

Coming home I made it exactly 26 seconds before I had to stop it or risk cool points at work. I make no bones about being ridiculously sensitive, and these videos pound me pretty hard. The one with the little boy that made the rounds a year or two ago is the one that hits me the hardest, but the girl in the start of this one turned my sprinkler on 26 seconds in. For me too, the dog was the hardest part of my leaving. My girl Forest was getting rather long in the tooth, and though I knew that I had left her with a great family, and a chocolate lab to play with all day, I still worried that she wouldn't make it until I got home. Luckily she did, and I got another year with her, but leaving her in the first place was tough. Worrying that she wouldn't remember me was tougher still. Well, she did, as did this guys best friend. "I missed you so bad honey, I'm sorry I went away."  Ugh.  That's a chest pounder moment for me. Anyway, if you have a favorite, drop the link in the comments and I will toss it up here. On a somewhat related note, while folks may have varied opinions on President Bush, I think we can all agree that his visit yesterday to the Dallas Fort Worth USO (where my Fiance used to volunteer) was a class act. You can read all about it and see some pictures at the LA Times website. Bush

Amazing. These things are so important.

And Mr. President, I started mssing you a long time ago.

If Mr. Bush had not started this unwinable war, we would not be going through the pain of love ones leaving.

The most touching post I've seen on this blog. Very well done.

i can't wait for my loved ones to come home. i hope i get to hug them like the people in these videos. God bless you, Andy. God bless you, John. Come home safe. Your mothers and brothers and fathers and aunts and uncles and grandma and cousins miss you.
